3DView Bugs

Postby goetz » Wed Aug 31, 2011 3:24 pm

While testing the new Beta version I encountered some bugs. Script used is attached.

The following bugs seem to be related to the display only, first parameter checks using XYPlots show no obvious errors.

Bug:
changing view definition impacts satellite attitude
task:
display a Nadir pointing satellite as seen from sun.
result:
works for ViewDefinition - Coordinate System as EarthMJ2000Eq, but sun moves relative to view.
changing view to sun_earth ObjectReferenced View results in additional attitude rotation for settings other than [X:V Y: Z:N] for sun_Earth Coordinate System Definition

Bug:
long mission duration causes 3D display failure

encountering the
*** WARNING *** 'Enhanced3DView1' exceed the maximum data points, now showing 20000 most recent data points.

results in satellite model getting stuck in a number of orbit positions, but continuing to change attitude, while orbit track remains nominal.
Animation of same mission run loses correct attitude, while correctly displaying orbit positions of model, orbit track display is incorrect.

Hi, thank you for the bug reports! I'll investigate and enter them into our bug tracker, then post the numbers here so you can track them.
