Using Event Locator

Postby kuldeepbrd1 » Fri Mar 20, 2015 7:52 am

I am new to GMAT. I want to use Eclipse locator to get in and out events. I have moved LibEventLocator plugin from alpha to default and I am able to input data in Eclipse locator GUI in resources. But, Running the script ( Lunar Transfer sample) gives an error
Event Exception Thrown: Event Locator EclipseLocator1 is being evaluated in an Unitialised state

I want to rectify the problem and want to use eclipse locator for any mission.

Hi, thank you for trying GMAT.

The EclipseLocator plugin is disabled by default because it's a very early alpha version. We'll have a much more complete and finished version in this year's release.

I think your error may have to do with not propagating the spacecraft you're trying to search for eclipses for. Can you make sure the EclipseLocator is using a spacecraft that you're actually propagating? Note that this is just a guess; like I said, the EclipseLocator will be much more complete in R2015a.
