Coordinates of Libration Point?

Postby drdanguitr » Thu Apr 04, 2013 3:37 am

I have an earth/moon libration point created, no problem there. But I'm trying to put the coordinates of the libration point into a report file, and I can't find a way to reference them. I tried to use the Report GUI, but it doesn't seem to have Solar System objects available.

here is a workaround

Code: Select all
%  Create spacecraft and put it at the libration point
Create Spacecraft libSat
libSat.CoordinateSystem = libCS
libSat.X = 0;
libSat.Y = 0;
libSat.Z = 0;
libSat.VX = 0;
libSat.VY = 0;
libSat.VZ = 0;

%  Create libration point centered coordinate system
Create LibrationPoint LibPointL2
Create CoordinateSystem libCS
libCS.Origin = LibPointL2

Create ReportFile rf

BeginMissionSequence

Report rf libSat.EarthMJ2000Eq.X libSat.EarthMJ2000Eq.Y  libSat.EarthMJ2000Eq.Z libSat.EarthMJ2000Eq.VX libSat.EarthMJ2000Eq.VY  libSat.EarthMJ2000Eq.VZ

I tried the workaround, creating spacecraft ELL1Beacon at the Earth Luna libration point L1. Still testing it, but it looks like it did exactly what I wanted! Thanks! That looks like a general-purpose workaround I can probably use for the Sun or any planets as well.

Drawings of the constructions that coordinate are in the edges of the point to check with total station machines easily. We must have to visit on rushessay.com website that knows the point checking method with machine of the coordinates.
