GMAT 2016a 64-bit

Discussion of compilation configuration and issues

GMAT 2016a 64-bit

Postby pbhuter » Tue Jan 24, 2017 8:14 pm

Has anyone successfully built/compiled 2016a 64-bit for Windows? I have everything working but the wxWidgets, which means the GUI will not build. I am missing ODBC, DBGRID, and MONO libraries in 3.1.0 and 3.0.2. I tried building 2.8.12 because it apparently still has those libraries, but that is only 32-bit. If anyone has successfully built/compiled GMAT 2016a for 64-bit Windows, I would appreciate some feedback on how to get it compiled.

Thanks.

I got it to work by doing everything with wxWidgets 3.0.2 and Visual Studio 2013.

Can you elaborate? I'm having similar issues. Did you edit configure.bat ?

My problem stemmed from the fact that I was using VS2015, which I could not build wxWidgets with. If you run configure.bat and choose VS2013, then it all built correctly. You will need to have VS2013 installed, which was kind of difficult to find because Microsoft is not in the habit of keeping older software available online.
